Friends and Follies

I just had an amazing weekend!!!  One of my best friends David (who we call Creamy based on his last name Creamer pronounced Kray-mer) came down to Charm City to visit me.  Creamy escaped NYC for a little R & R and I took him all around Baltimore to my favorite spots.  

One of the highlights of the visit for the both of us was on Saturday when we went to the Walter's Art Museum.  We could have spent all day there!  Creamy was drooling over all the jewelry.  He's a jeweler by trade, so it was exciting for him to see some unique and rare pieces.  We especially enjoyed several pieces by French Artist Rene Jules Lalique.  He uses different enamels, horn, tortoise shells, agate, gold, diamonds, sapphires, and glass to create amazing one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.  You can see Lalique's Tiger Necklace here. 

I took Creamy to the Inner Harbor on Sunday.  We started on top of Federal Hill and made our way all around the harbor.  We ordered a pitcher on sangria and just relaxed and people-watched.  It was a beautiful day, we were blessed with perfect weather all weekend.

Hello From Our New Habitat!

Hello!  Its me and the Deedle Dee.  We have settled in wonderfully at our new little apartment in Mount Vernon.  I have finally unpacked and set up my life...with the help and unbelievable organizational skills of Mom, of course.  Coming home is a joy now that everything is in place.  Deedle loves laying in the kitchen, in her basket, or reclining on the living room rug.  Once summer is over I'm looking forward to having my large windows open, with cool fall breezes coming in.  Walks around the neighborhood are relaxing.  Mount Vernon has a lot to offer me.  I'm very close to restaurants, Eddie's grocery store, bars, and my new liquor store, 1001 Liquors on Eager St.  I'm going to be posting an album in my gallery section of pictures of my apartment.  I will keep you updated on when I post these.
